Actually, we haven't stayed at this B & B but were interested in staying in July. We didn't notice a way to make a reservation on line other than an email reservation address o we emailed them at that address however we've not gotten a response yet which seems odd...

Actually, we haven't stayed at this B & B but were interested in staying in July. We didn't notice a way to make a reservation on line other than an email reservation address o we emailed them at that address however we've not gotten a response yet which seems odd for such a highly rated property.

This was a wonderful quaint place to stay. The room was perfect and the hospitality was top notch! Definitely stay there again next time we visit. It was the best location, very close to beaches, but out of the chaos.

We didn't plan to visit the island, but ended up staying while our car was repaired. The Inn is very clean. Old on the outside, totally modern inside. Lyn is welcoming and VERY accommodating! She makes an extensive breakfast each day. Simple food prepared well. Relaxing place to hang out...

She makes an extensive breakfast each day. Simple food prepared well. Relaxing place to hang out for a few days. Enjoyed the A/C indoors and the rocking chairs outdoors. I would go out of my way to go back next time I'm in NC!

Overall, I would describe our experience as a very good and basic stay. For example in our room we had an old tube TV and the toiletries (soap and shampoo) reminded me of a motel in the 1960's. One of the reasons we like to stay in B&B's is for more of a gourmet experience and something a bit more special.. Lynn, our host, was very helpful and a good cook, but I always hope for something a bit more special in our breakfasts. The location in Wanchese is 2-3 miles away from any restaurants, shops or the beach. The internet worked just fine

Lynn and Bill have restored this beautiful old home into the warm and charming Wanchese B&B. It's located in a quiet neighborhood off the main highway but centrally located to all the main attractions of the Outer Banks, whether going north or south. Our room was on the first floor with private bathroom and cable tv. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. In the morning Lynn prepared all the guests a 3-course breakfast with a different variety each day. We found Lynn's knowledge of the local area quite helpful in planning each day's adventure. In the afternoon we enjoyed relaxing in the spacious sun room. We'd recommend the Wanchese B&B to anyone visiting the Outer Banks.

The Wanchese Inn B&B is a wonderful place to stay. It is a lovely old home carefully restored by the loving hands of the owners Lynn and Bill. It has charm from the past and modern conveniences to make your stay on the Outer Banks very relaxing. We made a short trip to the coast to see family we had not seen for twenty years. The trip was so enjoyable in part because Lynn made sure we had everything we needed before we could ask. We were even able to bring family to the Inn and just sit in this lovely home and talk, laugh and reconnect. Wanchese is out of the hustle and bustle of the beaches but very close to all the attractions you would want to see. You can run and sight see all day and then come back to the Wanchese Inn were you find a quite, clean, and safe room waiting for you. It will not be another twenty years before we go back to the Outer Banks. Now we have a wonderful place to stay!

Sitting on the porch swing, reading after a day at the ocean, was most relaxing! The host and hostess made us feel welcome, showing us around the kitchen for late-night treats. Our hearty breakfasts with homemade muffins, delicious egg bakes, grits, and fruit gave us stamina to face the crowds...

Seriously, if you want a great vacation experience this is it. Beautiful Wanchese is only 4 miles from Manteo. We were worried we wouldn't be near the beach, but now that we are more familiar with the outer banks we realize everything is near water at all times! Wanchese gave us a pleasant break from that, but we were able to do anything from this location. Great privacy! Great feel!

We spent a relaxing afternoon and night at this B&B. It was out jumping off spot to head down Rt 12 south to Hatteras and beyond. The host was ever so friendly and made us feel right at home. She was quite willing to chat with us or just leave...

We spent a relaxing afternoon and night at this B&B. It was out jumping off spot to head down Rt 12 south to Hatteras and beyond. The host was ever so friendly and made us feel right at home. She was quite willing to chat with us or just leave us alone. We had a room with its private balcony overlooking the well maintained back yard, which had a fig tree to which she encouraged us to gather a few to take with us...and we did. They were so tasty! The B&B has four rooms; three upstairs and one down. Central A/C was very comfortable. Breakfast is very casual; very country. Not over complicated. Two other guests were there; one from Austria. She provides regular style bicycles. The facility was clean; our bed was very nice. Area around the B&B was quiet. Nice foliage and flowers around the B&B. Away from the busy beach scene but very well located. We could be at the Nags Head beach in 10 minutes or so. Also 10 minutes to a variety of restaurants. We fit right in to this homely environment. Great value.

Very comfortable and made to feel part of the family. Rooms clean and well appointed; we even had our own private deck area. The breakfasts were delicious and Lynn an outstanding hostess; we even had a trip to meet the. chickens who provided breakfast. Our transition back to corporate hotels...

What an amazing place to experience this quaint fishing town, the B &B is quiet, clean, cozy and welcoming! The hospitality is exception, the breakfast delicious and the hosts gracious! Thank you for helping make this a memorable trip to the Outer Banks!

Bill and Lynn are on top of all details and will go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Returning guest are obvious, and we look forward to our next stay.
